Dar Pa Dar is a documentary on the plight of Afghan refugee women who have silently borne the brunt and traumas of the war in Afghanistan. Left to raise families alone and learning to deal with the pain of husbands, sons and fathers returning severely handicapped or not at all. Now they face even more agony as they unwillingly leave behind those they lost in foreign soil as they are forced to return home.

Hey salaam! I just watched Samar's videos and read the articles. No doubt they are excellent and any feedback would be purely postive! Firstly though I just wanted to say that of all her great documentaries found Dar Pa Dar to be the most touching and attractive. Very descriptive and thorough. She's got it all right as first steps are to boost awareness and its working great, as I for one don't see this stuff first-hand and its all through books and documentaries that keep me aware. But for her next work maybe if she could describe ways and methods of how people could get involved? And if there has been involvement from anyone, what difference has it made to anyones life. Positive outcomes tend to attract more helpers.reply »
