Umar
The Yusafzai tribe has two branches, one the descendants of Yousaf (Esep),called Yusafzais and the other the descendants of Yousaf's younger brother, Umer, called "Mandanr". Akhun Darwiza describes the ancestor of the tribe as "Mand". Mand had two sons,Yousaf and Umer.
Mandanr was the son of Umer. Umer had migrated to Hindustan where he died while his son Mandanr was still an infant. His brother, Yousaf went to bring the widow and the family of his deceased brother home.
According to Pukhtun culture the widow of Umer was the honor of the family of Yousaf and his clan, he married the widow and raised his nephew Mandanr as his own son. Therefore the descendants of Umer through his son Mandanr are also called Yousafzai but are known as Mandnar Yousafzai.
