One day a frog decided it was time for her to go and find herself a husband.
She dressed up in her finest and set out on her search. As she looked at all the prospective creatures she was nearly trampled by a camel.
The poor frog let out a shriek and scared the camel who had obviously not seen her.
The frog haughtily said
This sent the frog into a hysteric fit, that a karborey stopped to inquire why she was crying.
The frog looked up at the karborey and asked
Da wily karborey answered
The frog warmed up to this praise and smiled at him
This encouraged the karborey to ask
Chindakhi, chindakhi, cherta zey?
This upsets the frog once again, and she who haughtily replied
The wily karborey said
Bibi Kalana Khaperay cherta zey?
The frog answers back
Zama wada kom
Karborey: Ma ba wa nakhley?
Frog: Zama sara chi di jang yi no ma ba pa sa wahey?
Karborey: Zoo bi di pa dey khpal soor sar.
Frog: Ma kho ba mra key, sta sara wali wada wakum
aw chindakha ti rawana shi
Eventually she meets a mouse who asks her
Chindakhi, chindakhi, cherta zey?
The upset frog says
The mouse said
Bibi Kalana Khaperay cherta zey?
The frog answers back
Zama wada kom
Mouse: Ma ba wa nakhley?
Frog: Zama sara chi di jang yi no ma ba pa sa wahey?
Mouse: Zoo bi di pa dey khpal khwari lakai.
The frog thinks this is reasonable enough so she marries the mouse and moves into his hole with him and there they live happily for a while until one day she wakes up with a craving for 'da wada ghwari ooriji'
The mouse finding her all quiet and sad asks what is wrong
'da wada ghwari oorijo tha ma zra shawey dey' answers the frog.
So the valiant mouse sets out to go to a wedding feast he has heard is in the next village. When he gets there he finds other mice and is happy in their company and thinks he will stay a while and enjoy the festivities with them.
Meanwhile the frog is getting really worried in her little hole and out of desperation goes out to see if she can see any sign of her husband.
Not knowing where exactly he has gone, she is worried and doesn’t know where to go, but she sees a man on a horse and calls out to him
The horse rider not seeing the source of this message got a little spooked and took off as fast as he could and incidentally he was headed to the same wedding that the mouse
had gone to. On reaching there a feast was set for him and as he ate he narrated the days events to his hosts and told them of how a bodyless voice had said
The mouse who was frolicking in the rafter with his friends on hearing this jumped down into the midst of the feast and filled one ear with rice and the other with oongwaley and
took off.
When he got home, his upset wife would not open the door for him so he cried out
Bibi Kalani khaperay
War fatha ka
The angry frog replied
War na fatha ka
The poor mouse stood a while and then dropped to the ground pretending to be dead.
The poor frog on thinking her husband came out of her hole and beating her chest and face lamented
The mouse no longer able to contain his laughter started laughing and the frog started to beat him, but he quickly produce the rice and oongwaley, and I guess they lived as happily ever after as a mouse and frog could live.
